UKIP MEMBERS REJECT PEPP MEMBERSHIP 19:30hrs. 16-Aug-2011

Hi,

It would seem that UKIP members have voted resoundingly against Farage's recommendation - his political ineptitude in trying to force the support of The EU on members for his personal gain has backfired.

Having chosen two dishonest men to front his pro PEPP campaign with the fraudster Stuart Agnew EFD & NFU MEP and the liar and cheat Mick McGough Farage made a terrible mistake as it became apparent to the membershiop that they were being deliberately lied to by their leadership - so much so that they were forced to withdraw some of their excesses and remake their video to remove some of the lies!

That this debate was forced on the party when Farage had resoundingly lost the support of members at last years conference and an overwhelming vote against membership of PEPPs was passed leading to Farage's accusation that Trevor Colman having won had just cost him (Farage) £1 Million a year!

To try to save face Farage has not only cost UKIP over £10,000 in organising the debate & vote but has deeply split the party leaving those who lied to support him with no honourable course of action other than to resign and leaving Farage in a ludicrous position!

Farage has fractured his party, divided his leadership and surrendered his mandate as leader - this on top of a £10,000 bill and a catastrophic local elections in May all based upon his crass personal lack of leadership skills.

To add to this he is now in the embarrassing position that he has forced out of UKIP leadership Mike Nattrass, Trevor Colman & Nikki Sinclaire as they were unwilling to cohabit with Farage's chosen extremist, racist, anti Jewish and violent EFD Pan EU Political Party Group!

How can Farage be taken seriously ever again having made such a mess of his job and so betrayed his members? No informed individual could still believe he was much more than a puppet for The EU filling the role that it seems he was invented for - an opposition giving spurious credibility to the pretence The EU is in any way democratic.

Today even The EU are losers as it seems clear that UKIP members have seen through their scam and Farage is left discreditted. Will The EU dump their blue eyed boy and invent another puppet to posture and pose as an opposition whilst sabotaging the credibility of The EUroSceptic wing of The Tory Party?

Clearly UKIP members have voted against membership of The EFD and wisely so but will their leadership in arrogant greed merely dismiss the members as the buffoon Michael Greaves did, stating his master's view that UKIP Members are too stupid to understand the issues!

Farage has put himself into a corner where his party has voted resoundingly against his leadership and he has no honourable choice but to withdraw from leadership of The EFD immediately suspending UKIP membership of The Pan EU Political Party EFD Group - Pending notification to The EU that UKIP has terminated its membership - UKIP MEPs have no honourable choice but to sit as Unattached Members of The EU Parliament - a status where you may recal Nikki Sinclaire showed the lead as clearly more in touch with the members than Farage and his claque of parasites.

I note that over 5 hours after the vote result was in the public domain on my blogs, on Twitter and on Junius there is no sign of letting the membership at large know with no announcement, comment or apology on the UKIP Web Site, The No Campaign Web Page or The Yes Campaign Web Page respectively.

Is it that the leradership are licking their wounds and trying to dream up a story to cover for this catastrophy they have engineered for themselves?

Steve Crowther: Farage sycophant

UKIP has a history of botched, some may say "corrupted" internal elections. It looks as if another one is on the way.

UKIP members are voting on whether the party stays true to its original mandate - EU withdrawal - or goes into a Pan-European Political Party (PEPP).

Eyebrows were raised when it transpired that the unnumbered ballot papers would be sorted at a private address, but now the integrity and impartiality of UKIP party chairman - sorry Executive chairman - Steve Crowther is being called into question.

The consistency of UKIP's leadership to participate in dishonesty and lies causes members to view everything they do with a jaundiced eye and for the public at large not to trust them for domestic politics where they regularly poll 2-8% only in the selected constituencies they choose to stand in!

An influential figure has suggested that Crowther misled members over the potential access to funds that UKIP would enjoy as part of a Pan-European Party. 

Crowther has now admitted in an e-mail that:

"I did, inadvertently, state that 'foundation' funding had certain restrictions, where I should have said that PEP funding had those restrictions."

Crowther would have know that the restrictions, which are tight, would apply to a PEP, and that the suggestions in 'Independence' magazine that UKIP could benefit from such funds domestically were nothing more than a blatant lie intended to deceive the membership.

Anyone wanting to know the rules need only read this blog and where they may be in doubt links are provided to source documents.

Why had Steve Crowther not read this blog? This blog contains more regarding PEPPs than any other single site on the internet that we have been able to locate.

Based on this alone there is surely reason to re-run the ballot from the start, and to discipline the liars.

Thankfully, Trevor Colman had the honesty and courage to expose the moves (probably why the personal attacks were made).  Hence the motion at the Torquay Conference, passed by an overwhelming majority of members despite opposition of Nigel Farage. The spokesman for the Yes campaign had the nerve to blame the SWCC for costing the Party money in holding a members' ballot. The Leadership is clearly hopelessly out of touch with the membership. This will be my last word on the subject until after the result of the ballot is announced.

Political parties at European level [meaning: pan-European parties] are funded from the general budget of the European Union. This budget may not be used for the funding of other political parties and in particular national political parties.” Repeat: the EU budget for pan-European political parties “may not be used for the funding of national political parties”. I quote from the official website of the EU (http://europa.eu/). My quotation is the official and definitive statement on the subject.

The UK Independence Party is undoubtedly a national political party. Indeed, its purpose is to restore in full the independence of the United Kingdom. As every member of UKIP deplores, this independence has been largely stolen from our country by a corrupt political elite collaborating with the EU’s bureaucracy. If UKIP is not a national political party as the EU understands that concept, I will eat my hat. So the EU’s budget for pan-European political parties is not to be used by national political parties, while UKIP is a national political party. It follows – logically, inescapably – that none of the EU’s money for pan-European political parties can be used by UKIP in the United Kingdom for UKIP’s own ends.

At this point you might say, “Full stop, end of story. There is nothing more to say. Let’s move on to the vital, important work that UKIP must do to take Britain out of the EU.” And I would agree with you 100%. Nevertheless, the team pushing for UKIP’s association with a pan-European political party claim on their website that an extra £400,000 a year would come to “our party”. This claim – which is their only argument – is false. No money would become available to “us” in UKIP for the purposes of “our party”. Do not believe the “yes to PEPPs” side if that is what they say.

How much money has been approved for all expenditure on PEPPs?

The 2011 EU Budget has a section on the European Parliament's expenditure and within that there is an allocation for 'political parties at the European level' (i.e., PEPPs)
The figures are, 17.4m. euros for the PEPPs as such, and 11.4m. euros for the Foundations.

This 28.8m. euros is divided up, according to a key in EP regulations.

But surely, you might protest, the “yes” side cannot be indulging in total fantasy. I have over the last few days carried out some homework on various EU and European Parliament websites, and am confident that I know how the “yes” team have derived their numbers.

The full story is quite complicated. You need an Excel file (which is available from me at timcongdon@btinternet.com and is also attached with this e-mail) to appreciate the detail of the calculations, but I can give the main points here. Remember that any sums arising from UKIP’s association with a pan-European political party come out of the EU Budget. That is why their expenditure is subject to European Parliament rules.

The promotion of pan-European political parties is seen by Eurocrats as part of the larger process of European integration. Indeed, so keen are the Eurocrats to expand pan-European political activity that they are hugely increasing the amounts spent. In 2009 the EU’s expenditure in this area was just under 17 million euros, whereas in 2011 the budget allocation has leapt to 28.8 million euros. The cynical and wasteful increase of almost 70 per cent in a mere two years is an insult to our taxpayers. It has occurred while our own government has had sharply to cut expenditure.

How does the key work?

EU regulations say 'The available budget for the political parties is distributed annually as follows: 15% is distributed in equal shares among the parties which have obtained a positive decision and 85% is distributed in proportion to the number of elected members.'

So, for example, of the 11.4m. Euros for the Foundations (i.e., think tanks), 1.71m. Is distributed according to the number of PEPPs which have 'obtained a positive decision' (meaning they have complied with EU criteria which a PEPP must meet). If there were 15 PEPPs, each Foundation associated with a PEPP would receive (1.7m. divided by 15) euros, or 113,300 euros out of this particular box.

The 28.8 million euros has two destinations. First, in Germany think-tanks or “foundations” affiliated to political parties have long been subsidized by the state. 11.4 million euros out of the 28.4 million is to finance the establishment of such “foundations” at the pan-European level. I estimate that the grant to the UKIP-related foundation due to our MEPs’ adhesion to the pan-European party would be about £170,000.

Secondly, the balance of 17.4 million euros is to be added to MEPs allowances. I believe – and I am sure most members of UKIP also believe – that MEPs’ allowances are too high already. At any rate, any MEP who joins a pan-European political party would see his or her allowances topped up by over £20,000. Let me underline once again that the resulting expenditure would be for the purposes of the pan-European party as regulated by the European Parliament, not for UKIP in the United Kingdom.

What would 'the European Alliance' receive by becoming a PEPP?

I am assuming that UKIP has 11 MEPs and that it belongs to 'the European Alliance', which has met the EU's criteria for being 'a political party at the European level'. I am also assuming that the European Alliance has 32 MEPs as members.
The following box shows how much the European Alliance would receive.

Money for a Foundation, in euros 155,000 421,000

So the total amount for the European Alliance (i.e., for its MEPs and its Foundation) would be about 1.45m. euros, which - at the present exchange rate - is roughly £1.3m. This is why the 'yes' side say that - by joining a PEPP - UKIP would stop 'our enemies' receiving £1.3m.

So the figure of “£400,000 for us in UKIP” on the “yes” website is explained, more or less. If all MEPs join “the European Alliance” or whatever, a new think-tank – perhaps located in Brussels – would be given a grant of about £170,000 and MEPs would receive altogether another £230,000 or so in extra expenses allowances. Do you approve of these uses of money in the name of the political party to which you belong? Is the 28.8 million euros budget to be seen as an excellent use of resources or the squandering of taxpayers’ money by a loathsome Euro- elite?

UKIP’s (or – in fact – UKIP’s MEPs’) acceptance of this sort of bribe from our enemies would be a shocking and deplorable betrayal. The “yes” side may say that the Conservatives, Labour and the LibDems have already participated in “political parties at the European level” and taken the money. They might ask, “why should UKIP be any different?”. The answer – I would hope – is that the UK Independence Party stands for principle and conviction, and is therefore opposed to politicians’ boondoggles. Politicians in the Conservative, Labour and LibDem parties are tacky and selfish, and we shouldn’t and won’t copy them. Let Conservative, Labour and LibDem MEPs join the other pigs at the trough. UKIP must not take money from a set of institutions that we detest.

Let me reiterate that no extra money would be directed to UKIP headquarters, any of UKIP’s branches or UKIP regional accounts. MEPs would indeed have (yet more) on their allowances, but could spend it only for purposes approved by the European Parliament. And do I need to say that the European Parliament’s officials loathe what UKIP stands for?

Vote No to the pan-European party idea in the forthcoming ballot.

Receipts for UKIP's MEPs as members of a PEPP

The PEPP's MEPs would receive 880,000 euros (237,000 + 643,000), to be spent on
for purposes regulated by the European Parliament.

The Foundation would receive 576,000 euros (155,000 + 421,000).

UKIP's MEPs would receive 11/32 of the 880,000 euros, which is 303,000 euros.

The Foundation would receive - as a result of the 11 UKIP MEPs' membership of the PEPP - a sum equal to 11/32 of 576,000 euros, or 198,000 euros.

The total sum received by the MEPs for PEPP activities and by the Foundation as a result of UKIP's participation in the PEPP would be 501,000 euros, which - at an exchange rate of 1.15 - is £436,000.

although almost all the comments made by Trevor Colman to support his very sound arguments against aiding The EU by progressing their project as members of Pan EU Political Parties thus demeaning Patriotic National politics can be sourced on this blog - I have asked for the accurate URLs of the documents he quotes to ensure his accuracy - as we are well aware that Mick McGough and other proven dishonest individuals have lied, as is their track record, to try to con the membership of UKIP.

The Yes Campaign was ordered withdrawn due to its clear dishonesty and misrepresentation, by The Returning Officer Steve Allison. Sections that were lies by Mick McGough and others were altered!

I trust the NO Campaign will supply URLs rapidly and they will be placed on this blog.

no doubt mimicking His Master's voice he continued:
'he knows understands the issues because he works in the EU parliament'.

It seems he has learned little and is very naive regarding communication skills as his presentation, like Mick McGough's was unconvincing, demeaning and dragged UKIP into the corrupt gutter they clearly share.

UKIP: Bloody nose for Yes Team and Farage at West Midland PEP Debate!

Farage’s plans for UKIP to join a PEP pan European party are being dealt severe blows in regional debates across the country where, so far, the reaction has been overwhelmingly a 90% No!We have been told, this was last night expressed more in the West Midlands than anywhere else - a region devastated by UKIPs national infighting and the de-selection of popular local MEP Nikki Sinclaire.

A packed room, we are told of 50-60 people heard from both sides. The 'No' campaign was represented by Trevor Colman MEP and Mike Smith. Mick 'Porky Pie' McGough and Michael 'who ate all the pies' Greaves represented the 'Yes' campaign.

The 'NO' side stole the show arguing on principle with passion (notably Mike Smith), that UKIP should stay true to its withdrawalist principles. This was greeted with constant cheering and clapping from the floor.

The 'Yes' argument, as always, centred around money, money and more money!

Unfortunately for Farage and his sycophants this wasn’t lost on the audience! McGough and Greaves were clearly out of favour with the audience. Indeed, they only received a polite clap from two or three people after delevering their ten minute pitch. We also note that their replies to questions from the audience were met in silence, in complete contrast to the response to the no side.

Michael Greaves even felt it necessary to claim angrily to a question from a member that they were too naive to understand the issues and that he knew best as he worked in the European Parliament! This drew hisses and shouts from the audience.

Michael then attacked were made on those MEPs that had left the EFD. This resulted in a passionate reply from Mike Smith.

We are pleased to note that this drew the biggest applause of the evening in responding. He stated that Trevor, Nikki and Mike were right to leave the EFD and that they had done so because of their principles. He also expressed anger that they were constantly being attacked in certain quarters for doing what every UKIP MEP should have done - leave the EFD! He then pointed out that they were all actively campaigning for the Euro-realist cause by producing literature, leaflets, websites and petitions.

How sad that Steve Crowther (chair) tried to silence Mike. And this was despite having just allowed criticism from the other side. You really couldn’t make it up!

We suspect the West Midlands might hold the biggest opposition to the EFD than anywhere else!

The yes side continued to lie in suggesting that the party would receive funding from 13 MEPs (as stated in March’s edition of Independence News). This was clearly a deliberate attempt to mislead UKIPPERS as only a maximum of 9 UKIP MEPs would join a PEP.

Let us not forget that Mike, Nikki and Trevor are adamant that they are not going join a PEP. And have they forgotten that Bannerman has now left UKIP for the Tories? Quoting figure after figure based on 13 MEPs (promising a third more funding than they would be entitled to) is yet again another example of the level of dishonesty that we have come to expect from the 'Yes' campaign!

We will leave you with some words from Farage - before he went native - which are now being repeated at regional meetings across the country.

‘’We are opposed on principle to the idea of state funding of political parties, either nationally or at a European level. It is not an appropriate use of tax-payers’ money”.

Do be minded of the quotation of Thomas Jefferson:

"Honesty is the first chapter of the book of wisdom".

I do see it as a sad reflection on UKIP that it has not only brought together this collection of rather unpleasant people but that it permits egregious filth like Mick McGough or for that matter Stuart Agnew to speak on their behalf - why do they so consistently shoot themselves in both feet?

Listen to the manner and demeanour of Mick McGough and would you in all honesty be willing to buy a used car off this Essex oik with a track record of lies, corruption, dishonesty and gutter behaviour that is well known to the informed members. An odious little man who would cross the country for the opening of an envelope if there was something ANYTHING in it for him.

You will remember this is the odious little bean counter who could not even be trusted to keep Gerard Batten MEP's internal correspondence in confidence when he thought he could make personal gain from it. This is the sordid little man who seers with consistency at those who seek transparency and probity within UKIP.

You may remember that when Andrew Smith was shown to have lied and cheated embroiling UKIP in lies to The Electoral Commission that resulted in a resounding Guilty verdict against UKIP it was Mick McGough boot licking his way to personal gain in his defence.

It was this same little creep who was telling lies about John West being involved with The BNP and who can not even understand that I might seek honesty and integrity within UKIP because I believe in honesty and integrity and this desperate little failure of mankind endlessly lies and sneers trying to impugn my motivation and project the same lack of morality he personally displays, where everything it seems must be for money or personal gain - Oh how his behaviour shows him  for the slime he is!

Mick McGough would be well served to heed Benjamin Franklin who said:

"He that is of the opinion money will do everything may well be suspected of doing everything for money".

That a party has various low lifes and noxious individuals is not really surprising but that a party espousing British values and patriotism gathers so many liars and cheats like McGough, Agnew, Williams, Curtis, Denny and the like together as its NEC and leadership beggars belief and does nothing but bring shame on these United Kingdoms.

Yes it is understandable a whinning oik like McGough would prostitute himself for money and personal gain but that he not only is clearly willing to prostitute UKIP but to act as its pimp may depress many but that UKIP itself would sink to such a level as to employ such a proven dishonest man to make a case speaks volumes of why until UKIP is Cleaned-up there just is no case that can be made for anyone ethical voting for the Party - they are clearly unfit for purpose.

Even more worrying is that Mick McGough has willingly made a video based on his own lies and his own concepts of marketing, where Money is clearly his only God, speaks volumes of Mick McGough's utter lack of principles but that no one corrected his dishonesty on an official UKIP video is a staggering reflection on the Party's lack of integrity and self serving greed of its leadership.

"He who would trade liberty for some temporary security of income, deserves neither liberty nor security".

Only someone of the lack of moral fiber that Mick McGough consistently shows us would be willing to prostitute principle for income from The EU - There is absolutely no position that makes whores of ones' daughters or ones' friends based upon a claim that to do so denies others willing to prostitute themselves from income!

To be a little more specific it is morally repugnant thaty UKIP can have sanctioned the pack of lies being peddled on this video - let us consider just one, which has no bearing on the emotive 'con' sales technique of these grubby amateurs:
We see the odious Mick McGough holding aloft a mock cheque for £350K claiming it to be made out to UKIP - THIS IS A LIE, do read the regulations under no circumstances can this happen granting UKIP free use of EU money for Party Political gain.

That the duplicitous worm then goes on to talk of howmuch an election cost UKIP is dishonest in conflating the two values as the money used to bribe Politicians to prostitute their Parties and undermine National Political Parties is NOT available for Party usage!

Perhaps UKIP should read them rather than lie to their members!



I was interested to note on The UKIP Forum that even some of the members have seen through the scam put forward in this squalid little video.

It is also worth wondering, since we know he is dishonest corrupt and untrustworthy, whether Stuart Agnew is acting for his masters at The NFU or his UKIP electorate as he tries to mislead people on this issue.

Either way we do have it on very clear record that Stuart Agnew couldn't give a damn for democratic principles and has openly stated that whatever the vote outcome he will be joining a PEPP for his personal gain!

We also note that it was abundantly clear that at The South East debate on the issue that as in The South West the audience were very clearly against the sell out to assist The EU implement its aims.

I gather the results are so resoundingly opposing UKIP aiding The EU and joining yet another sordid alliance of others as with the utterly unprincipled extremists of The EFD as at the moment that learning from their long sujourn of very little benefit to Britain in the bars and bordellos of Brussels and Strasbourgh the UKIP leadership and its parasites have learned how to Kontrol any danger of democratic principle and it is now clear that realising they would lose the debate they are NOE changing the question!

As with France, Holland and Ireland when the vote was NO - EU methods were brought to play and they were forced to vote again on a slightly nuanced question! As with The EU so also with UKIP leadership as you will remember that UKIP resoundingly voted NO to this duplicitous sell out at UKIP's own conference so since that was clearly not the result the leadership wanted for their self enrichment scams UKIP like the Irish, Dutch and French are being forced to vote again!

for the record - membership of a PEPP will not in any way help UKIP to have a Think Tank - that costs nothing in real terms as 'FUTURUS' will soon show.

What UKIP lacks for a 'Think Tank' is NOT money as they overpay a large number of hired praise singers of no other value.

What UKIP needs is adequate brains and intelligence TO THINK - something they have shown they are utterly incompetent to do as they are much too busy copulating, carousing and squabbling like ferrets in a sack!

18 Years and still they have NO VISION, NO STRATEGY, NO TACTICS & have NEVER had any meaningful training.

What is UKIP's exit and survival startegy? 

18 years and they haven't a clue.

UKIP just runs around in chicken suits, inflatable toys and hurls childish insults, suffice for them to pass as competence!

It would be funny were it not MY COUNTRY they are betraying!

At the Surrey PEP hustings meeting on June 4th , Nigel Farage arrived early and appeared to be in fine spirits. However, Tim Congdon hinted to him, somewhat unwisely, that he was to confront him with his own words condemning Pan European Parties at the end of the debate. When Congdon read out Farage's statement threatening legal action against the European Parliament in 2004, Farage had fled the hall and could not be found.

Farage may be a coward, but he is lucky with his enemies. Congdon could have derailed Farage's plans by humiliating him publicly with his own words, but sadly he lacks the killer instinct, and Farage fled to fight another day.

The U.K Independence Party's three MEPs today joined with colleagues from across Europe to launch a legal action against the European Parliament and the Council of Europe over European Union funding of political parties.

The legal action, launched in the name of the pan-national SOS Democracy group, is being brought by 23 MEPs representing Britain, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Sweden. SOS Democracy includes 2 maverick British Conservative MEPs who oppose their party's stance on state funding.

U.K. Independence Party MEP Nigel Farage said, "We are opposed on principle to the idea of state funding of political parties, either nationally or at a European level. It is not an appropriate use of tax-payers money.

"As if that was not bad enough, the legislation adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers will discriminate against certain political parties. It requires the recipients of European funding to subscribe to pre-set political ideals, such as agreement with greater European integration.

"This is using legislation to force parties to conform, and sets a dangerous precedent by effectively allowing the European Union to award huge sums of taxpayers money to parties which it approves of, whilst impoverishing those it disapproves of." ENDS

Statute and financing of political parties at European level (amendments to the Rules of Procedure)

Farage (EDD). – Madam President, I am very pleased to say that all three UKIP MEPs have joined together with 20 other Members of this House. We come from five different political groups and from the non-attached Members, and yes, we are fighting this case at the Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

There are several reasons for doing so, but the key reason is one of simple principle: I do not think there is any evidence that suggests that the voters in my country or in any other country are happy for their money directly to finance political parties at a European level. Certainly the feedback I get in the UK tells me that the perception is that far too much money is already being spent on political projects, both at home and most certainly - of all places - here in Strasbourg.

I have also felt, ever since Nice and Article 191, that this idea that you qualify if you conform to the democratic principles of the Union is potentially a dangerous one. What Mr Corbett says about the principles of the Union may sound fine, but we are seeing shifts and changes in the law. Perhaps, in three or four years' time, criticism of the Union itself may mean that you no longer conform to the democratic principles of the Union and therefore you are not just denied funding, but possibly even banned. The motivation is clear: it is to create a European demos which at the moment simply does not exist.

I have some difficulty with the issue of the rule of law. It seems to me that, post-Constitution, some in this place - and I am one of them - will not recognise that new rule of law because we will only be able to leave the EU on the terms of the EU. I do not believe it would be a legitimate act for a British Government to sign us up to the Constitution on behalf of our people on these terms, and in those circumstances I should be perfectly happy not to qualify for this funding.
